Great Watch! Great Price
This is the second watch we've had for our daughter. She lost the first one. Took her 2.5 years to lose it. It has so many functions that have helped with daily life and keeping track of things. I can't recommend it enough. Super durable and function.

Easy to set up, but not counting steps
My son received this as a Christmas gift and was so disappointed that it's not working properly. I set everything up using the Garmin Jr App, and the steps won't accrue. We have spent the last 3 hours trying to troubleshoot but nothing is working. One very disappointed little boy.

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/26/2021Falls out of bandI bought these watches for my kids for Christmas. We loved the ability to set up chores and that they could challenge each other. 3 months latWe the centre fell out of my sons watch. He was devastated and so was I. Apparently this is not covered under warranty because we lost the “product”. To me the product includes the band and it should t be able to fall out this easilyLynette

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/06/2021Feature are good.We are happy with the watch. Though for kids it has a fault. If kids are to wear to record their movement then the screen should not have a little button that dirt and debris can get into. Within the first week sand has made the button not work well. We have taken it to a watch repair shop. He could not help us as the screw was for Garmin only. So, to get it repaired we would need to send it back. Though the issue is that the button will only get dirt in it again. So, not worth the hassle. I strongly feel the design needs to be updated if you want to make this kid friendly to wear at all times. The options for collecting coins for tasks is a nice feature. Also, the timer kids can set if the button worked well.SBrown

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/20/2021Died after only 3 months, but good while lastedI got this for my son's birthday and he was ecstatic about it and being able to help Spiderman on his missions. However, after only 3 months, the screen went black and there was no saving it.Boymom7

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/17/2021Screen only visible in lightJust got this for my son and although the features seem great the display is disappointing. It's winter time with cloudy days and we can't tell what is on display. I understand it is supposed to be a battery saver feature but marketing this with bright displays is misleading.Phil242

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/08/2021Not what I was expecting from garminFirstly the wrist band itself is fine and a decent fit and some of the features like chore rewarding and step tracking are also a really good incentive! but and a massive BUT its very temperamental at syncing and the app actually loading up on the phone its connected to, the tracker screen has no back-light as such so is extremely dark and difficult for my 6 year to actually see what rewards or mode the trackers actually inSharkey

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/28/2020Poor lightingI purchased two for the kids for Christmas, set one of the watches up and could barely see the screen. Thought for sure there would be a back screen light function and there wasn't! Returned and got my money back! Wasn't worth the money!! So disappointedBeckaloo

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/30/2020Perfect watch for kids!We bought these for our children (ages 4, 7 and 9). They are great for helping them keep up with chores/responsibilities, tracking every day to do lists, watching their activity levels (and having challenges between themselves of who can get more steps). And they're also great for us to keep track of their sleep (one of our children has sleep issues, so this helps me make aure he's getting adequate sleep). Plus, it's waterproof! So no worrying during the summer months or at bathtime!Emily50

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/19/2019Very versatilePurchased for 7 yr old and he loves it! Loves getting coins for chores, stars for staying active and with spider man band he can do the adventures in app. Seems to work well in the pool and all sorts of activities, but Garmin loses one star for the step tracker... waaaaaaaay off! This seems to work on any motion vs tracking actual steps. From the time he got up to the time breakfast was over it clocked 500+ steps! Other than that, sleep tracking and assigning chores is great and would purchase again!Law19

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/27/2018Great features!!I have been wanting a watch that reminds my two boys (6 & 8)of when to do their duties such as homework putting away dishes and getting the mail. I have been doing the research for almost a year and decided to go with the Garmin vivofit Jr 2. My mom actually purchased them and gave them as Christmas gifts. The boys love them! They do the reminders I wanted but I also set wake up reminders and shower and brush teeth reminders and bed time reminders. I also can give "coins" (virtually) that they can redeem for rewards such as going to the movies or staying up later and sceen time. I am loving it because it's not a fight or hassle to get them to do things. The only thing I'm not sure of is the accuracy of the step counter. It said that one of the boys had taken over 3,000 steps in just the first half of a day, but he has a lot more energy than me so I guess it could be right lol. Overall I'm super happy with the quality and features of this product I will definitely be getting this for my daughter when she is old enough!Lindalou88

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/12/2018Great tool for parents. Kids love it!My kids love it. They call it their ‘fitbit’ and like to track their activity goals. I like monitoring their active movement and sleep patterns. It informs my decision on which activities we need to participate in over the weekend. We use the coin system to cash I. Time for screen time. It eliminates kids asking for screen time.MomofTwins

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/06/2018It starts with excitement! It all starts with a lot of excitement. Unfortunately, in our case, the newness didn’t last long. There are cool things you can do for your child - such as set homework/chore reminders. However, it is only a reminder alarm and doesn’t show specifics about the reminder. My son opted to NOT wear it a few days because he was afraid he would get it wet. (I assured him that washing his hands and sweating wouldn’t hurt his vivofit).karissa007

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/05/2018Alarm featureOverall my son loves his vívofit although the alarm continues to go off multiple times a day even though we have erased the alarms on the app as well as synced his watch many times. We even replaced the batttery. THe app says no alarms are set but the watch continues to go off. The strap also broke.Mindiana

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/05/2018Basic features, very dim screenThis watch is basically a glorified pedometer. There are a few cute alarms you can set but all rewards are manually put into the system by the parent. The biggest and major drawback is the screen is so dimly lit, both me and my daughter can barely see it. She’s 5 so it’s not my 30 year old eyes that can’t read it. If she hasn’t worked 2 months for it, it would have definitely been returned. There are far better choices where you can at least read what is on he screen.Kirra

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/04/2018Kids love itAs a whole, we are so happy with all 3 of the Garmin viofit 2s that we bought. The kids wear them ALL the time and LOVE to track their progress with the app. They are water resistant and also comfortable. The only drawback (that knocked off a star) is that the bands are worn out within the year and it is hard to find a cost effective band replacement.Jennifer
