Bad shipping and design issues.
My wife accepted the shipment I would have rejected because of the state of the package which had damaged corners and looked like someone sat on it. The shipping envelope was not a padded type stretched over the box the binoculars came inside at the store with no padding. Upon opening the box one lens assembly (the fat end) was separated from the unit. I was able to screw it back together but worry about the integrity of the threads, did it vibrate apart or was it torn apart through damage to the binoculars. I also have a concern of contaminants on the lenses inside because the lensing chamber was open to dust as well as humidity. The lens caps do not stay on at all unless the binoculars are sitting on them and no caps on the eye pieces. The strap for the binoculars is not installed and I can't install it in the mounts because they didn't take the rubber covering thickness into account. The rubber covering blocks the slots where you are to insert the strap through. The "storage bag" is a flimsy material and does not offer any protection nor close at the top corners. I understand these are cheap but a little care in shipping and design would have gone a long way.
