Great reel, but the rod but the rod is gutless
I am impressed with the smoothness of the reel, but the rod is is very soft, supposed to be a medium heavy action... I really have to question is the thing is labeled correctly. Seems more like a medium..

    Night and day difference (positive)
    Ive owned multiple black max rods and reels, multiple pro max rods and reels, an ambassadeur 2500lp flipping reel, and a revo 4x. The feeling between them is one in the same. They're smooth, fast, and solid... but the revo takes absolutely no effort to cast and almost no feeling to retrieve. The materials of the frame and side plate is almost a standard for the baitcasters, ive never had a problem with the graphite frame cracking, losing pieces, or failing components. Well worth the price.

    Love the product but..
    I love this caster but sometimes the real has stoped and started to slip even thought the tightness was at almost max,otherwise absolutely a great rod and real combo.

    Bought as gift for Dad
    I bought this as a Christmas present for my dad when he received it he couldn't be happier. I'm not sure if it was the rod or him but his next trip with my uncle he smoked him 25-4. He said that it's the best reel that he's ever owned that it almost makes reeling them in unfair.

    For the money it's hard to beat
    We have thrown umbrella rigs to crankbaits on these this tournament season and not one problem. The only thing I would change in my opinion would be to put the handles like the SX on them, but that's because most of our reels are the Revo SX and it's a little different going from one handle to the next. That is about the only difference we have noticed.

    Loose handle, it moves a lot
    Bought this 2 weeks ago , nice looking combo, one thing that I noticed right away,the handle moves in & out , it bothers me a lot . I contact Abu customer service, they want me to send it back, I'm thinking about it , I know is going to be a hassle to get my reel back. Maybe I should have going with my always shimano
