Shakes like a scared chihuahua
I don't know if the prop is off balance or if the shaft is bent, but the unit vibrates so much I have to constantly tighten the clamps to keep it on the transom. It was like that out of the box. I will be returning the motor soon and trying a minn kota instead.

    Poor design
The latch pin came unscrewed and fell into the lake. Motor Guide told me I have to get the part from a dealer and would not help me. More difficult to lower the motor than the Min Kota which uses a lever.

    2nd time around
second unit for me, first one was salvaged from a salt water wreck, covered in barnacles. Dried out & cleaned off the barnacles, hooked up a battery, and was surprised it still worked, only had 2 usable speeds, but it ran for 2 years on my jon boat. till it finally went into permanent retirement. I went to wal mart and bought the same unit. New one works fine with all speeds functional. tough little motor!

    Best Bang for the Buck
You will not find a better bang for the buck trolling motor. You can find this motor for just under $100 and you will easily get 2-5 years in salt water with this motor if you wash it after every use. The biggest problem is you will need to replace the clips every year or so because they do rust. Eventually the motor will fail due to corrosion, but for the price you just get another one.

    Not bad for the buck
I'm using this motor on my Bass Hound 10.2 boat and it does a good job of moving me around the lake. My only issue is that the lowest speed is still a little fast for trolling while fishing. Probably would be great on a larger boat. Easy set-up and very user friendly.
