Unfinished edges, sending it back.
I think this would have been a nice rug had the ends been finished. It definitely is not the quality I expect from Safavieh. I am familiar with their rugs from purchasing them in the past. Either their quality control has slipped in recent years or their jute rugs just aren't up to par. The ends were just cut off with a couple rows of stitching across the ends to keep it from unraveling. Normally a jute rug has either a hemmed edge or fringes. Since it only had the stitching across the ends I expect it will eventually start unraveling. I'm sending it back.

    Gorgeous!
    This rug looks absolutely gorgeous, I love its organic texture and the bold purple color really accentuates my bedroom. I wouldn't recommend it for large areas where you would walk on it, but as an accent or overlapping rug to bring color and texture to a room. Highly recommended, excellent craftsmanship!

    It looks nice, but it's not nice to walk on
    I got this for my kitten to play on, he loves it, but it's so rough and bumpy I have to wear slippers on it.

    Just what I wanted
    Exactly what I was looking for as a bedside runner. Nice and knobbly- feels good as the first step of the day. The weird, “new” smell dissipated after a day or two.

    Great natural jute rug
    The material is pretty thick and it was darker than I expected but still looks great in my home. Not the best choice for a high traffic area of the house given the thickness of it. The natural fibers will probably wear out over time with a high power vacuum. Still so pretty!

    Great addition
    This rug was more beautiful in real life than the picture gives you credit for. It is so comfortable to walk on it with bare feet. It is luxurious looking and has added such beauty to my living room. I highly recommend this product.

    Good value for large rug
    I got the 9x12 rug and put it the bedroom under my bed. It was a great addition to my (laminate) wood floors. Some of the rug threads came up with the first vacuum, and I think this is common with this type of rug. I was able to push the threads back down without a problem.

    This rug was better than I expected in quality. It's a nice, neutral color that ties in well with the earth tones in my home. It's a great base rug to use if you want to layer.

    I love it!
    Very good quality jute rug! One side was more rigid. I assumed it went against the floor considering it wasn't comfortable to walk across. There were a few pokey pieces but I pulled them out when I felt them. To be expected with a rug like this.
