KEEP THEM THIS TIME......PLEASE. YES, THIS IS JUST THE OLE ARSENAL ARG15. THAT WENT AWAY AND THEN REELS TOO BIG CAME INTO PLAY, LIKE THOSE HUGE TIDEWATERS. TRY KEEPING A REEL STYLE AND SIZE FOR AWHILE, WILL YA???? THESE ARE EZ TO USE, THE RIGHT SIZE, SPOOLED W/ BRAID, IF YOU'RE CATCHING A FISH THAT BURNS OFF 350 YARDS OF 40 POUND BRAID........YOU NEED A DIFFERENT REEL ANYHOW!!!!!!!!!!! I USE THESE FOR REDFISH AND SPECKLED TROUT FOR MY CHARTER CUSTOMERS, THEY ARE AFFORDABLE AND NON-CORROSIVE, WHEN USED DAY AFTER DAY. STICK WITH THIS REEL, DONT DISCONTINUE THEM IN A YEAR. MATCHED WITH A NEW AND IMPROVED UGLY STIK STRIPER OR CATFISH ROD. YOU HAVE A WINNING COMBO.

    I bought 3 reels for trolling. I washed and cleaned them prior to putting them up where the hung in a rod holder with the rods they were attached to until the next time they would be used. While getting ready to go trolling I went to get the rods and noticed the handles were free spinning and one would not spin at all. When I took the line off of one I found that where the line goes had broken on both. This was due to cheap plastic. Pictures will be attached

    This Ats trolling reel is awesome but the handle needs and counterbalance on it . If you try to casting passed the boat the handle locks it. It is a awesome reel

    Average quality
    The reel appears to be rugged enough to handle most inshore fishing situations, however, free play in the handle when reeling in your catch is unacceptable. I've gotten smoother action in reels half the price. I will likely give this one to somebody I don't like.

    Great features, nice handles, excellant drag
    I have had this reel for 10 years. I use it when I'm saltwater fishing on top of reefs 85 feet deep. I have landed, small, medium, large, and extra large fish. The last time I hooked something, this reel put on a show. The fish would take off and make a run of 15 to 30 yards, then I would be able to reel in line. Only a really good reel allows you to do this. After about 15 minutes I got tired and put rod in holder in boat. After resting, I started again. Finally getting fish to top of water only to see that I had hooked a manta ray. He was 5 feet across. Cut my leader, rerigged, and started fishing again. Would highly recommend this reel.     LOTS of power.
    Just purchased this reel in late summer and wish I had bought it sooner. Lots of power, line counter works great. I use them for trolling for Walleye, even accidentally caught a really nice Pike, it handled it no problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
