Hold s up nicely
I bought the combo over 2 years ago I've fished salmon in Washington and the flats in Florida . I have had no problems with it and just recently bought another one to use just for bass fishing. This is a 50" black drum I caught with the rod and reel combo.

Great value for price
I live in upstate NY and bought this as a Christmas gift for someone as a new comer to bait casting. Upon arrival I of course had to take it out and inspect it and I was pleased that it was undamaged. The reel is very smooth and operated with ease and should be no problem to dial in. The pole seems like the action is a little heavier than I thought it would be but as I said, I'm in upstate NY so there's not many places to check it out, especially since it's not mine. All in all I think it's a great value for the money. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not sure about the pole.

    Very nice look and feel, cast smooth. Had no issues at all. I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid bait caster not looking to break the bank!

    Mixed but positive now
    Dislike that the first one delivered was broken but the box was not damaged so it leads me to believe that it was packaged broken. Ordered 2nd one and it is just fine

    Great rod good reel!
    Not for beginners The brake slows the spool down very little. So if you are a beginner at bait casters this is inexpensive but you will get birds nest, unless you have exceptional thumb control. Or you'll get a ten yard cast! Took it out in salt water first time Nailed it!!

    This rod and reel combo is one of the best I ever used I caught over 50 fish within the first months of buying I would recommend this to anyone who is just getting into fishing with a baitcaster.

    With this purchase, i now have 4 of these rod & reel combos and i love them! I have them rigged and ready with crank bait, spoon, spinner bait and soft plastic. I have a different setup for surface lures.

    Reel is smooth 8lb line is perfect for this set up. The rod is the best part of this combo tho you can feel everything and has a good back bone. I caught this bass with this combo.
