This is exactly what I wanted!
This is a very good quality rowing machine, made from heavy gage metal and I'm sure it will give me years of service! It took me a little over an hour to assemble it, I almost threw out the nuts and bolts because they are all wrapped with 'shrink-wrap' on a small piece of cardboard. Once I had it all together, it works like a dream! I especially appreciate the fact that the seat is high off the ground, making it much easier to mount/dismount, and the pulley is made from a bicycle chain, not just a nylon chord! The flywheel hits you with a blast of cool air with each row, it's just great! I'm very happy with this purchase, and delivery was on time as promised, thank you, Hayneedle! :)

I bought this in 2019 and it finally gave out this year. Multiple times the chain will not retract into the wheel. I loved this machine, but it's not made right, apparently. I bought a Concept 2 to replace it.

    Good Machine, Bad Rollers
    The machine works really well except for the rollers. I've only had the machine for a few months and am already on my second set, which are also starting to break apart. They leave small hard chunks behind, which leave black marks down either side of the metal post and impede rowing. When functioning properly, the machine is great, but the need to be in constant contact with the company to replace parts that should not be breaking down this quickly makes it more effort than it's worth, especially for the price. I use the machine every other day and am well below the maximum weight rating, so it seems like a manufacturers defect or cheap rollers.

    Just get it. You won't regret it.
    Great product. Solid as Sears. My only beef is with the foot pedal. My first two plastic pedal covers snapped in half, but, Stamina came through and sent replacements. The rest of the machine is solidly built. I would definitely recommend this rower.

    MY SECOND ONE!!
    Okay, so I gotta tell people that this is one awesome rowing machine. I just finished putting my second one together. My first lasted 14 YEARS! and I put hundreds, if not thousands, of miles; countless hours on it. I am up to 30+ minutes per day. The bungee cord did finally give out; but 14 years is what I call a very good run. I would highly recommend that anyone follow the instructions that says to have two people to assemble it; though I did manage to do it myself with shaky hands and poor eyesight (I'm 65), it would be much easier to have a second person helping. Thanks Stamina; great product from a satisfied customer times 2!

    Bought this 1405 Air rower 4 months ago and love this unit. I must note when moving or transporting the unit. I would zip tie the chain to a fixed point on rower. If chain comes off from handle full dis-assembly of the tension system is required, but very fixable. Had some issues with foot platform moving put a simple fix with a 3" stainless steel strap does wonders.Note you can remove both travel stop bumpers for more range of motion great for taller users 6'3+. Using a teflon lubricant on the rollers and pulleys makes the unit smooth to operate. For the value and benefit this rower is great.

    Not satisfied with product.
    I got it together with not to much problems. When I read on line that the tension gets tighter with more expertise , I hated that. I want to be able to adjust the tension from the start. I want to take it back but don't know how.

    Low-Cost Easy-To-Use Rowing Machine
    I first used this machine at the gym I go to regularly. The first day I used it I ordered one for my home. It's a very simple but effective machine that delivers a good workout with no impact on my back. Easy to assemble. It makes for a great workout when I don't have time for more strenuous routines.     Built well but a few things could be better
    Built well but a few things could be better. Pros ------------- Strong Metal Construction( it is very stout machine) I believe it has adequate resistance ( the harder you pull the more air you have to move) Good Bearings and rollers Fast shipping and was not damaged upon arrival The fan is built out of pretty decent plastic and is surrounded by a metal cage. Cons ---------------------------------- IF you look down the metal square tube your seat rides on you can see how the chain recoiling works. They transition from a chain to a bungee chord. I really wish it was a spring because i feel it will last longer. But the bungee seem to do fine. only time will tell how strong it will last. the bungee is a decent size it is about the diameter of a computer power cable. The chain could be a step up thicker. I was hoping the size of a bike chain but its thinner than that. it is strong but if you bend the chain in the wrong way ( side to side) it could stress the metal. identifying where these potential flaws may occur well help you know how to take better care of this machine.
