The phone is worth it
This phone is great! I had the J series before this one. It is quick to respond, the screen is large, it takes excellent pictures and it's a Samsung! I am happy with this phone. The more I use it the more it gets to know me :)

Carrier Issue...Not The Phone
LOOK AT OTHER REVIEWS...SAME ISSUES!! By the 2nd to 3rd step to activate, screen froze up and powered on and off. RESEARCH INDICATES IT'S A CARRIER ISSUE BECAUSE OF AN INSTALLED APP THAT STRAIGHT TALK USES AND IS NOT A PHONE ISSUE... FROM ANOTHER CARRIER, NO ISSUES.

    Crappy Company
Ordered a Straightalk phone and could not activate it since it was not "scanned" at the factory. Had to return it to the store. They could not scan it for me. Had to ship it back and waiting for a refund. Bought a second phone and same issue

    Simply fix to phone issues
I bought this phone for Someone else and he had similar issues That a lot of other people had about this phone. It it's a simple fix! All you do is hold the volume down button and the power button at the same time for 10 seconds, and and it will reboot and fix the problem. Do the same thing if it happens again. Google it, because this can be done with other Samsung phones as well.

    Horrible Phone
I bought this phone 3/2/22 from Walmart at 17870 to replace a GalaxyA51 which I loved. Bought screen protector and body glove case. After activation would not connect to my phone network. I tried to update and the screen scrambled and froze. Did a factory reset and now I can't get through the startup prompt without it shutting off. I am returning it today for something else as I am seeing this is a common issue with this phone. WHERE THE HECK IS THE A51?????

Yep they are not kidding, its trash! Dont buy!
They are not kidding with the warnings. Bought for my elderly mother as her first smartphone and it did the pixelated screen and freezing right during set up. Already bought phone cases

Issues seem to be all due to unwanted app
Same issues as everyone else - non-ending restart loops and eventual static screen. Reading about it, seems to be due to unsolicited app called Device Pulse - forced onto phone by ST/Tracfone. Cannot uninstall it, but someone suggested uninstalling update to app (via little 3 dots at top of app info page), disabling auto updates in Google Play, and denying permissions as much as possible to Device Pulse. Also, only seems to happen when wifi turned on, so after a hardstop restart, quickly turn off wifi and phone should work normally. Do the changes above, restart phone, and turn wifi back on if you need it - and phone should be fixed. I did this today after I thought my phone was cooked and all is working well (and back on wifi). Root of the problem, however, a forced app spying on you that ST/Tracfone won't allow you to erase from your phone. They snuck this app onto our phones during an update. This is the reason this phone has great reviews on verizon/t-mobile, etc, but horrible reviews on Straighttalk.

    DO NOT BUY!
DO NOT BUY! You have been warned! This piece of terd bricks up almost daily now and stays that way for a few days, apparently until the battery goes dead. It is just a month or so beyond the return date, thanks wally world, so I'm stuck with a $300 paper weight. Probably much better to simply not buy online anymore, since I have yet to be able to return ANYTHING that has broken that I have bought online. DO NOT BUY! This warning cannot be stated enough!

    disconnects from network data/glitches out!
this would be a great phone if it would stop disconnecting itself from the mobile data network. you have to reset it every time and then the phone glitches out and its a mess to get it to work right again. ive got kids and if i had an emergency id be screwed if it happened.
